Director of ProductionMy life before Christ was dark and lonely. My parents divorced when I was a year and a half old, and both my parents were alcoholics. My dad was not in
my life until I was a late teen, and even though I lived with my mom, she wasn't involved in my life. I had no rules, curfews or structure. For example, in grade six I stepped off the school bus at 11 pm just to walk home by myself. I was used to having no one with a vested interest, to the point that at age 13 my mother kicked me out. I stayed in school and lived where I could during this time, and then ag the age of 18, I left Ontario, joined the Army and headed west. It was 4 years after that, at the age of 22, that I met the love of my life, who is now my wife, Kathie Doherty (with whom I have 4 beautiful Kids, Tristan, Kaitlyn, Noah and Colton). Spending time with their family I couldn’t believe how different things were. It was weird! Their family prayed. They were filled with joy and did stuff together as a family. It was something I never had but desperately wanted. In June of 92, I pulled away from her parents place and parked a block away. I cried to God giving him my life and recognizing that Christ died for my sins. I received the greatest gift that late afternoon. Since then, life has changed. I now have a Father, wife, family and great Godly brothers with whom I will never walk alone in darkness!
